Sofia Tanswell is a Stockholm-based artist working primarily with oil and acrylic on canvas, alongside occasional work in oil pastel.

Born in England, she spent her early childhood there before growing up in northern Sweden, with regular time in the southwest of England.

Her work centres on faces, flowers and skulls, expressed through a graphic and personal visual language.
